Junior Estate Surveyor

Up to £30,000 per annum

The Arora Property division was set up in 2005 to provide a property and asset management service. It currently manages over £2.5 billion of property assets which includes operated hotels, a portfolio of externally leased hotels, offices and commercial spaces; as well as land holdings across London, major regional airports and the home counties.

The Junior Estate Surveyor will work directly with the Estate Surveyor, Property Director and Head of Property. They will have a range of duties covering mixed use / mixed asset property management. Responsible for assisting with technical instructions including leasing/letting/re-gearing, service charge budgeting, rent reviews, lease renewals and actively building ever strong relations with the tenants. They will be entrusted with keeping Arora’s detailed, in-house property databases accurate and up to date.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting with the management of the property portfolio and ensuring property databases, including the tenancy schedule, are accurate and up to date.
  • Providing professional advice and assistance to all departments regarding commercial property or estate management matters.
  • Undertake property management tasks to include tenant liaison, accounts enquiries and rent arrears management.
  • Liaising, managing and monitoring of external agents appointed by the firm to manage its properties.
  • Assisting with all landlord and tenant matters, lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals assignments, sub-letting, alterations and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Working between different department and assisting with utilities, security and software duties as required.


Skills & Experience

  • Real Estate degree accredited by the RICS (preferred)
  • Excellent administrative communication, interpersonal, organisational & time management skills.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel and Outlook
  • An individual who is self-motivated and detail focused with the ability to produce high quality work.
